San Diego, Calif. – January 12, 2009 – SMS Technologies, Inc. announces that it has won the 2009 Supplier Excellence Alliance (SEA) Aerospace & Defense Industry Supply Chain Award in the Supply Chain Innovation award category. SMS Technologies is an electronics contract manufacturer providing services from prototyping through volume manufacturing for customers in many industries, including aerospace and defense. Judging was based on: · How SMS integrates its supply chain into its planning and improvement processes. · How, as part of a joint supplier team, SMS value streams its current state based on real data for delivery, quality, and cost. · The action plan SMS has developed and deployed for break-through strategies and goals. · How SMS collaborates with other suppliers to ensure success of their respective customers.
